One Room Challenge Fall 2020 - Week 1: The Room

by - 23:54:00

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving and cheers to the start of the One Room Challenge Fall 2020. Even though things are crazy right now we still have so many things to be Thankful for, like the chance to makeover a room in 6 short weeks, which we blogger types call the One Room Challenge. This week I'm sharing the room and discussing my high level makeover plans. Be sure to check the official participants and the guest participants on the ORC blog.

Thanksgiving Decor Neon Sign Palm Leaf

I thought an image of my Thanksgiving Day mantel was a nice nod to the Canadian Thanksgiving (don't worry I'll get back to the makeover pics shortly).  PS I will be sharing this DIY neon sign Thanksgiving Day palm leaf decor on the blog later this week.

The Room(s):

This go-around I'm working with the best clients on a mini kitchen makeover and powder room update. I selected two rooms because the kitchen is more of a quick refresh rather than a full overhaul. I feel like a mini kitchen renovation is a fun idea because it's something a lot of people can do over a weekend; some new hardware, a new sink and a new backsplash, voila! Low cost high impact! The powder room will be a full makeover and I think it will have a fun reveal...stay tuned.

Special thanks to our sponsor Blanco Canada for the sink and faucet, Schaub & Company for the new cabinet hardware and Spoonflower for some fun wallpaper. Stay tuned next week when I share the overall plans and work to date.
