Give Your Old Vases an Update

by - 10:05:00

Well the start of summer has really thrown me for a loop. School's out and it's super hot which means I've spent my days juggling between keeping the kids busy inside and keeping the kids wet and hydrated outside. Unfortunately the blog has suffered in the process.

Do you have a bunch of old glass vases around the house? Perhaps they were thrift store finds? Or perhaps you've collected from the numerous flowers you've been given through the years (haha ya me neither). In any case, here's a quick DIY project to give your old vases an update.

Here are the things you'll need; some glass vases, wood mac tac (from the dollar store) and some scissors (seriously, that's it).

First, I measured the circumference of the vase and cut a strip of wood mac tac to that length.

Then I pulled off the back and stuck the mac tac around the glass vase. Note, this works best on straight vases vrs curved/round vases.

I also added a strip around the top of the inside to make the illusion of wood more realistic.

Such an easy way to update your old glass vases. Seriously I think I'll be covering everything in this wood mac tac in the near future ... look out son (lol).
