Gold Light Switch Plate Cover Project

Add this to your list of quick and easy DIY home decorating ideas. I created this gold switch plate cover to compliment the Teen Girl Bathroom Moodboard I put together for the Home Depot. Just like the DIY paint chip flowers this is a fun little DIY project you can do with your kids and teenagers. And since light switch covers are only $1 at the Home Depot, you can let them do whatever they'd like and replace it when they move out (assuming they do move out someday).
This DIY project is so easy and doesn't require to many things. A light switch plate cover, Rustoleum gold spray paint, Gorilla Tape and primer (not shown here). All items available at the Home Depot.
Clean the plate cover and spay all over with primer. Use the Gorilla Tape to create your design.
Spray the switch plate cover gold (in a well ventilated area).
Remove the tape.
That's it. An easy way to give your teen girl's bathroom a bit of glam.
