In thinking about my wedding centerpieces I knew I wanted something with height however in talking with my florist the cost per centerpiece came in around $100 each ($1,400 for 14 yikes). So, as usual, I got crafty. My fiance said I could buy whatever I wanted from the dollar store - words that unleashed my creativity. Here is my DIY wedding centerpiece:
Then I mapped out a blueprint of my plan. Items included 2 candlesticks, 1 bowl, crystals and 1 wooden base totaling $6 plus $19 for flowers = $25 per centerpiece
I purchased the candlesticks from Dollarama however they no longer stock them so you can purchase them from craftparts.
Here are the final DIY centerpieces. I was very pleased with the outcome and we saved $1,050 (plus we sold the centerpieces after the wedding - Bonus!)
Oh yes, be sure to check out this other DIY wedding centerpiece on my blog - affordable, non-floral hanging centerpiece for a rustic wedding or this DIY Floral Chandelier that would also make a beautiful hanging centerpiece for a wedding or shower.
