One Room Challenge Fall 2017 - Week 6: Finishing Touches

by - 23:47:00

I read somewhere that "The ultimate inspiration is a deadline" and I suppose when that deadline gets pushed back it opens the door to more inspiration. I think I've added a bunch more projects to my One Room Challenge list because I thought I had more time and now I'm feeling the crunch again lol. Anyone else feeling this way?

This week I'm sharing two specific projects; one is an update to my outlets with the Legrand adorne Collection and the other is a chair upcycle.

First, I updated my outlet plates in my office with customizable plate covers from Legrand. I had previously updated my outlets and switches, you can check that post out here. Customizing the plate was super easy. Legrand provides a card that you paint with your design, then you peel off the plate sticker and adhere the painted card to the plate. I love the way it hides the outlets in a stylish way.

Second, I updated a chair I found at a thrift store for $10, nothing major I just painted the seat/back charcoal (the same as the stencil).

To get caught up on the progress so far, you can check out Week 1 (The Plan), Week 2 (Painting) and Week 3 (Stencil Tips), Week 4 (Furniture Makeover), Week 5 (New Metrie Door). Next week is the reveal and I cannot wait to show you - I've really been struggling to keep things underwraps.

Be sure to check out the One Room Challenge featured participants progress and the guests participants. Also, follow me on Instagram for updates and other fun stuff.

See you next week : )
