I know the thought of sewing something can be daunting or down right impossible if you don't have a sewing machine (and it's not like you're going to buy a sewing machine for one project). That's why I thought I'd share this No Sew DIY Super Hero Cape. I made this cape with two hands and a glue gun - that's right - a glue gun. Now you probably won't be able to put them in the washing machine but they'll withstand anything your little one can put them through.
Use a fabric that doesn't fray - I used Jersey knit but spandex would also work well.
Make a pattern out of wax paper and cut your fabric.
Use a different colour fabric and cut out a diamond shape.
Flip it over and use a marker to outline the diamond by an inch and draw in your letter
(Important: Be sure to use a mirrored image of your letter)
Use hot glue to adhere your letter logo and the velcro.
That's it. These were so easy I was able to make one for each party guest.
We made these instead of a loot bag - which was okay with the kids.
Someone was excited ...
... and someone was sleepy.
My little super hero is ready to save the world!
