DIY Antlers

by - 12:49:00

I had the idea to make these antlers after seeing them in store and realizing it was a simple papier mache craft. I wasn't about to pay big bucks for papier mache.

Here is a quick list of the things you need; wire hanger, pop can, newspaper, flour, water, white glue, masking tape and white paint.

Simply shape your antlers out of the wire hanger. Tape rolled up newspaper around the hanger to make them thicker. Bend a pop can in half for the head, this is great because the ends of the pop can create an 'eye socket' effect.

Once it is taped all together, mix your flour, water and white glue to form a paste mixture. Dip your strips of newspaper into the paste and apply it to your form. Cover it completely and let it dry over night.

Paint it white the next day and voila, your own set of antlers at zero cost.
