One Room Challenge Spring 2017 - Week 1

by - 17:02:00

This is my second time participating in the #oneroomchallenge as a guest participant. My first time was last fall where I gave my living room/dining room a makeover. It was a crazy fun and now I'm hooked (I might need to buy a new house just to keep redoing rooms).

For those of you who may not of heard of the ORC, it is a design event hosted by the wonderful Linda of Calling it Home that takes place twice a year (spring and fall), where designers have six weeks to makeover one room in their house and blog about it along the way.

For the Spring 2017 edition of the One Room Challenge, I did a poll on Instagram (via Instastories) to see which room you guys thought I should do. Overwhelmingly everyone thought I should do my laundry room so here I am and here are my design plans for my laundry room.

I am so excited for this home makeover because I have partnered up with Walls Need Love, the retailers of some unbelievable removable wallpaper. I have chosen the beautiful black and white flowers of the Clara design.

Here are some before pics of my laundry room - shield your eyes

Be sure to check out the progress of the official ORC participants and all the other guest participants. Also, House Beautiful has posted some photos of previous ORC makeovers that are just fun to look through.

One Room Challenge Spring 2017 Week 2 should be interesting, I will be tackling the tile and relocating the cupboard, hey I might even get to the paint, we'll see.

Follow me on Instagram to get the latest progress and video. You can also follow @oneroomchallenge and @housebeautiful to catch the scoop on everyone else. It's going to be a fun ride, stay tuned!
