Interior Design Show 2017 Review (#IDS17)

by - 15:46:00

It has almost been a week since 2017 Interior Design Show in Toronto and I'm still reeling from the show. I was blown away by the engagement and design of each exhibitor booth (dare I say paint by numbers with Canadian Tire). With so much to love it was hard to pull together my faves but here is my round-up of my best-in-show favourites at #IDS17

1. Mobilia - The Roaring Twenties Collection By Janette Ewen
Have you ever met someone and felt like you've known them forever? That's the way I felt when I met Janette Ewen at IDS17 in Toronto. I've always liked her style and attitude, which originally drew me to follow her on Instagram. Even with her huge following she always seems to have time for a kind word or personalized note. So when I got the chance to meet her in person at the Mobilila booth at IDS I jumped at the chance. It was so refreshing to learn that she is the exact same inspirational women in-person as she is online. And it's no surprise that her kind and genuine spirit is reflected in the beauty of her work - Her Roaring Twenties Collection for Mobilia is gorgeous - A little art deco meets today's contemporary style. I'm in love with all of it, from the gold wire chairs to the wooden room dividers, rich velvet sofas and geometric wall decor. Be sure to visit your local Mobilia store to check it out.

2. Surfaces & Co.
If you were at IDS17 or following it through social you would have heard of Surfaces & Co. Their unbelievable selection of tile made everyone swoon. And with mosaic tile expected to make it big in 2017 (Style at Home 2017 trends) Surfaces & Co will be sure to be a staple in the industry for both the kitchen and bath.

3. Listone Giordano
I was drawn to the unique look of this wood flooring solution. It is the Biscuit collection consisting of unique puzzle-style parquet hard wood floors designed by Patricia Urquiola. I love this twist on the chevron hardwood floor. There are many options that could work as a wall covering as well.

4. Estate Interiors
Another expected trend in 2017 is moulding (2017 Trends) so when I found Estate Interiors at IDS I knew they were one to follow. Their customized decorative panels add a 3d effect to any wall or ceiling. This look can really elevate a room.

Thanks for stopping by. Until next year.
