DIY Chevron Bunting Banner

by - 22:13:00

Here's a cute little Chevron Bunting Banner I made for my son's first birthday cake smash photoshoot. Note, the other details of the shoot will be posted in the coming days eg felt crown & shorts, cake smash set-up at home etc.
I am slightly obsessed with flag banners. Usually it's the typical triangle flag bunting banner but this time I decided to try something different. Maybe I should post a montage of my faves, hmm.

I found this great paper at michaels in their strapbooking section. I love using scrapbooking paper for a few reasons; it comes in unique designs and you can use it to make other party decor items. This is the jumping off point for my son's birthday party and I will be using these cakesmash pics on his party invite.
I cut the paper into three equal strips and made a template for one chevron.
I used this template to mark out my cutting points for the rest of the banner.
I laid out my pattern and simply taped the chevrons onto a piece of string.
You could also use hot glue if you prefer.
